POWER GENERATION

Dawei Boil-Off Gas and Temporary Power Plants

Dawei Power Generating Company Limited (“DPG”), a wholly owned subsidiary of LNG Plus, signed a concession agreement with the Dawei Special Economic Zone Management Committee representing the Myanmar Government in August 2015. The agreement grants DPG the exclusive right to develop and operate power plants to supply up to 60 MW of power for the development of the Initial Phase of the Dawei Special Economic Zone.

LNG Plus has been working closely with Tractebel Engineering to perform the detailed design of the power plants. LNG Plus expects to commence the construction of the power plants in mid-2018 with target completion in by the end of 2018.

LNG-fueled Power Plant

LNG Plus installed and operated a 1 MW LNG fueled power plant located in the Dawei Special Economic Zone in 2013. The power plant consisted of ISO-tanks for LNG storage and ambient air vaporizers for regasification, and a 1 MW containerized gas generator.

The power plant and associated LNG facilities were operational in 45 days from the signing of the Power Purchase Agreement. LNG was procured from PTT Map Ta Phut LNG Terminal and safely transported a distance of 600 kilometers (one-way) and reliably during one rainy season and one dry season. Resulting prices of electricity generated was well below prices of electricity generated by diesel generators.
