LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS (LNG)

Dawei LNG Terminal

LNG Plus, Shell, and ITD have been working closely since 2015 to develop the Dawei LNG Terminal to supply gas for power generation in the Dawei Special Economic Zone in the Taninthayi Region of Myanmar. LNG Plus has been designated as the Lead Developer responsible for the planning, construction and operation of the terminal.

The parties signed the Concession Agreement with the Dawei Special Economic Zone Management Committee representing the Myanmar Government in March 2016. The agreement grants the parties exclusive right to develop and operate the terminal for import of LNG and supply of natural gas for power generation in the Dawei Special Economic Zone Initial Phase.

LNG Plus has engaged Royal HaskoningDHV and Tractebel Engineering to perform the detailed design of the LNG Terminal. LNG Plus expects to commence construction of the LNG Terminal in mid-2018 with target completion in 2020.
